Lead, ZEV Infrastructure - Sustainablity Program

Jeremy Matsuo is serving as the lead of zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure at the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). His projects include installation of ZEV charging, for the workplace and public, and hydrogen fueling stations at Caltrans facilities along highway corridors.
Jeremy has over 16 years of engineering and fleet management experience at the Caltrans, Division of Equipment. The Caltrans fleet consists of over 12,000 pieces of equipment. Jeremy has managed the design and manufacturing of highway operation equipment; has developed data-driven annual fleet replacement plans; and has incorporated ZEVs into the fleet.
Jeremy received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a certified Professional Engineer in California.
